According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film earned Rs 12.50 crore on its opening day, and saw a significant jump on Saturday with Rs 20 crore, taking its two-day total to Rs 32.50 crore nett in India. This is nearly 60% growth on Day 2.
Adarsh pointed out that Sunday collections might face a slight dip due to the India vs Pakistan cricket match, but he estimates that the opening weekend could close around Rs 54 crore.
For context, the first film in the franchise had earned Rs 7.35 crore in its first two days, while ‘Jolly LLB 2’ managed Rs 30.51 crore.
With Rs 32.50 crore already in hand, the third film has already outpaced both of its predecessors.
‘Jolly LLB 3’ revolves around a legal battle between two “Jollies,” both trying to outsmart each other in the courtroom using technical loopholes, clever arguments, and witty tactics. This time, the story follows struggling farmers whose lands are being seized by a corrupt businessman, played by Gajraj Rao.
Akshay Kumar’s character finds himself on the wrong side of the case, leading to chaotic and humorous confrontations with Arshad Warsi’s character.
The film’s cast has Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, Ram Kapoor, Shilpa Shukla, and Brijendra Kala.
